Studying challenges faced by international students enrolled in English Medium Instruction programs at Russian University

Introduction. The article examines the problem of integrating international students pursuing English Medium Instruction (EMI) programs into academic environment Russian University. study aims to identify discrepancies in attitudes and their professors challenges faced by that intervene with successful integration. Materials Methods. In order main groups students, general scientific methods were used: analysis, synthesis, generalization existing research. To determine consistency views a diagnostic method was applied: survey form Likert scale. reliability data obtained verified using triangulation approach its two forms: (literature analysis on research scale) (answers given different respondents). Results. It revealed integration University is aggravated four challenges: linguistic, academic, social cultural ones. Analysis findings showed number inconsistencies demonstrated EMI professors. do not match following issues: level language proficiency; analytical skills students; degree adaptation new environment; perception culture shock; communicative abilities interaction; awareness life Conclusions. authors summarize differences teachers difficulties. concluded increasing between will make it possible adjust design implementation support
